Translucent paper confetti overlay5/2/2023 ![]() This is possible because of metalized paper's absorption qualities. Wet-trapping: Ink can be wet trapped on metalized paper for multiple color printing.Using special blanket hardener at start-up will prevent sticking and reduce picking. Blanket: Conventional low tack quick release type. For each of the succeeding stations the tack should be lowered one point. In multi-station presses, the first station ink should have tack of 14. Fountain solution: 15 % minimum recommended alcohol content, 25% maximum.Offset Printing Offset Ink systems perform best when these guidelines are followed: Generally, no additional special procedures are required for flexo printing 3. Low ink coat weights are recommended to facilitate the drying process 2. Additional driers in the ink are recommended where tolerable to ensure hard drying.į. On multi-station presses, the first station should have a tack of 14 with each successive station delivering inks with successively lower tack levels.Į. Ink tacks should be 16 or less using an inkometer tack tester. The use of mineral oil, paste and gel reducer should be avoided.ĭ. Viscosity can generally be used as supplied by the ink manufacturer and adjustments should be made according to the manufacturer's recommendations.Ĭ. Inks must be made from fully oxidizable materials.ī. Conventional inks dry by oxidation more than absorption. Inter-station UV curing is the most successful way of printing holographic paper and board.Īdditional tips for conventional inks on metalized or film surface:Ī. Potential problems associated with offsetting and drying are avoided by using UV-cured inks. The final overprint coating should be selected for clarity to minimize any impact on the holographic brightness.Īlthough conventional inks work well, UV-cured inks are ideal. Either aqueous or UV-cured over-coatings are recommended. When printing on COATED backsides, metallic surfaces or film, inks dry by oxidation.Ī final clear coating on the holographic side is recommended to cap printed materials and prevent offsetting. When printing on UNCOATED both sides, inks dry by absorption. Formulations are readily available which are specifically designed for metalized papers or laminated film. Your best resource for selecting printing inks is the ink supplier. Using both ink types can create a vivid, three-dimensional appearance. For a solid appearance, opaque inks are recommended. For example, to achieve a shiny, glossy shade, transparent inks should be used. The graphic design determines number of ink layers and opacity. Printers should consult with their ink supplier and press manufacturer for final printing recommendations. We offer these general printing tips and frequently ask questions to highlight key areas. Both products have special coatings to enhance printability. NovaVision stocks direct metalized material and material which is laminated with holographic film. Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) I'm fairly certain it was not Star Wars, Star Trek, or Battlestar Galactica. ![]() The board was a very unique piece of it I think. I'm not sure when this came out or what the title could have been. The main board came in a few pieces but it was in a circularish with a center piece that may have been empty / space in the center. I believe there was battle with NPCs to capture small planets in a territory and all battles were a combination of dice rolling and card play. I remember you could require resources from worlds and things would end up in your scrapyard which was your own player board. You could also set up defending turrets on bases you've explored and captured. Playing certain cards would create additional paths that were permanent. There was also crystals on planets in your galaxy and each planet was connected with a blueish line between them you could travel. ![]() One of the ways to win was to destroy everybody but there was 1 more way to win that I cannot remember, I think it was to boost to the middle of the board. There were scouter ships and big battle ships because each ship could hold many cannons or no cannons at all in some cases. You could attach boosters and rockets on your ships to make them more powerful. Each player had their homeworld in their own galaxy separated in different sections on the board. This was a 4 player game ( I think tops ).
